I had forgotten about my little blog until this very second, oh dear!

I can't sleep tonight which is very upsetting because for once it's nice and peaceful on my street. One thing I really love about living in the city though is noise outside my window at night. Cars driving past, people walking on the street, and, usually at the weekend, couples fighting and throwing up. When I left my parents' house to get my own place when I was at university I loved being back in the thick of things. I always found how quiet it is at nighttime at their house kind of unsettling.
I'm definitely a city girl through-and-through. It's quite hard to say that coming from Belfast which is really only a large town but part of the reason I love London and NYC so much is because they're both huge and there's always something happening and something to do. I went to Reykjavik last January for 2 weeks on my honeymoon and I loved it to bits, but by the end I was ready to get to London (for honeymoon part 2) whereas I think Husband could have stayed there another fortnight!
Husband also prefers LA to NYC which I don't get at all. Granted, I've spent a lot more time in New York, but LA seemed like a bit of a non-place to me when I visited. I didn't find it to be fake or superficial or anything else that people criticize it for, I simply just found it a bit empty.

I'm not enjoying typing this on my Blackberry but needs must. Our Mac laptop is in the Apple store being repaired and I miss it so much :(

Now I'm going to try and sleep. It's my own fault for having a lie-in this morning but I have a busy day tomorrow, including tracking down a helium tank!

I was originally going to use this blog to post pictures of me standing beside things that are taller than me. It all started when I got a bit drunk and found a toilet roll display in Dunnes that was, naturally, taller than me. Husband Rocky took a photo of me beside it, and other tall things, for a couple of weeks, but then he changed his phone so now all the pictures are gone.

So apart from that, I think I'll just use this blog to post some things I'm thinking about. I'm not a very interesting person most of the time so please excuse my inane drivel.

I've been off work for the last 2 months, and the first 3 weeks were pure bliss. After that I got a bit bored. I've been doing some work in Oh Yeah, as well as hanging about Start Together studio and getting in the way, as well as a whole hour stint in the Guitar Emporium. Once somebody asked me about guitar strings I knew it was not meant to be! I don't even play the guitar!

Today I've been in Oh Yeah, answering the phone and doing some research and writing, but mostly drinking coffee, eating sweeties and brushing up on my Farmville skills. I still have no idea what Farmville is about but apparently I got a ribbon today as well as a cute little pig. I wonder if you can get hedgehogs on Farmville?
I've also decided that it's about time to get back to singing and I've started working on a plan, so watch this space!
